Simple Recruitment Services are proud to be recruiting for Children’s Support Worker’s for one of our Clients new homes due to open soon!
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated day or night team members to join the ever-growing team. We are looking for individuals who wish to make a difference to our Children & Young People’s lives. You will ideally be an experienced support worker that has worked in a residential service before.
Our respective client provides warm, caring, family style homes for looked after children with emotional, learning, social and behavioural difficulties who for whatever reason are unable to live with their family. Children placed in the homes may be at risk of absconding, sexual exploitation, offending behaviours, non-engagement in education, self-harming behaviours and may in their past have been subjects of/witnesses to physical, emotional, sexual abuse, neglect and domestic violence. Children placed may have had numerous placement breakdowns in the past, come from a failed fostering and adoption or this may be their first care placement.
Your role as a support worker will be to support young people and your colleagues to provide the very best care. You will be responsible for helping the young people feel safe and at home. You will support the young people to access education and to be involved in activities and hobbies. You will get to know the young people so you can understand them, and how they are feeling and why they are feeling that way.
You will need to be a fun and kind candidate that wants to make a difference to the young people.
You will need to be a driver as you may be taking the young people to school or out to do activities and hobbies on evenings and weekends.
Can you work any of the following shifts? (7am – 3pm or 2pm – 10pm).
You will be paid an additional £36.50 per sleep in. We have full time and part time hours, minimum 3 shifts per week, if full time then it’s a minimum of 5 shifts per week over 7 days .
