Job title: Care Assistant (Older persons) Shift: Flexible Day shifts (AM 7:00 – 1400 or PM 14:00 – 21:00 or long days 07:00 – 21:00) Location: Clay Cross, Chesterfield Our client, a prestigious older persons care home in Clay Cross, near Chesterfield has asked us to provide an additional healthcare worker to pick up day shifts on an ongoing basis. The number of shifts will depend on your availability and this could be 1x 7 hour shift per week through to full time and above hours, this can change from week to week. We are offering candidates with the right skills and experience the flexibility to pick your shifts to suit your requirements from week to week. The client needs regular cover throughout the week including at weekends. You will be working as part of a team providing day to day care including personal care to older persons who live with learning disabilities, sensory impairment and physical disabilities in a brand-new purpose-built care home that prides itself on delivering quality care within a nurturing environment whilst making a profound difference to the lives of those they serve. You will become a valued and respected member of their team and treated as a member of their family from day 1. Responsibilities: • Providing compassionate support during day shifts, ensuring the safety and well-being of their family members. • Assist with daily routines, including personal care, mobility. • Conduct regular checks on residents and promptly respond to any needs or emergencies. • Collaborate with the care team to maintain accurate documentation of observations and activities. Requirements: • At least 1 year of previous experience in the UK as a Healthcare Worker. • Experience working with individuals living with conditions associated with older persons. • Compassionate and a person-centered approach to care. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to various care needs. • Relevant care qualifications are desirable.
